Ian Birch Membership Award

This Award was presented by PDG Ian Birch (DG 1993-1994).  It was introduced to encourage clubs to increase membership.  It is presented to the Zone or Club, which has made the greatest effort to increase Lion Membership.   This does not mean the club with the highest number of members!

The winners in 2019 were Fareham Lions Club for their increase in membership


The winners for 2018 were Gillingham, Mere and Shaftesbury for their increase in membership


The winners for 2017 were Hook and Odiham Lions Club

for increasing their membership by 25% 


The winners for 2016 were Westbury Lions Club

for increasing their membership by eight in the past year


The winners for 2015 were Salisbury Lions Club closely followed by Wokingham Lions Club


The winners for 2014 were Bracknell LIONS CLUB


The winners for 2013 were BASINGSTOKE LIONS CLUB
The winners for 2012 were Zone 4K

for establishing the Branch Club in Aldershot. Several attempts had been made over the years to form a club in an area of great need. This year Zone 4K worked to achieve this

The winners for 2011 were Woolmer Forest

who ran a very successful membership campaign and doubled their membership as a result
