Dear Fellow Lions,
Following on from IPDG Alan’s letter last month you will all be aware of the loss of members faced by District 105D.
Over a number of years, despite the District inducting well over 100 new members every year, the net result has been a loss to our total membership.
We believe one positive way forward will be to hold a meeting where Lions have the opportunity to expand their ideas on both Recruitment and Retention, to share examples of good practice and, hopefully, create a series of suggestions to be made available to everyone. Retention is as important as Recruitment; far too many Lions are leaving after just 2/3 years of service.
We invite all Lions in 105D, whether very experienced or those with merely just a few months experience, to join us on Monday 3rd October at the Hilton Hotel, Bracken Place, Chilworth, Southampton SO16 3NG.
The meeting will begin at 7:30pm and last no more than 2 hours.
