Lion Leslie Berry
Lions Club of Andover

With great regret, Andover Lions Club (now closed) have to inform you that ex Lion Les Berry has passed to higher service.

Lion Les served the club and community for 30 years and will be sadly missed.

The funeral will be on Friday 12th October at 2:45pm at Basingstoke Crematorium, Manor Farm, Stockbridge Road, North Waltham RG25 2BA. Family flowers only.

Les wanted this to be a celebration so no black clothing please.

A donation box for McMillan nurses will be at the Crematorium or you may send donations via the undertakers.

No Wake as such but we can gather at The Wheatsheaf Hotel, Winchester Road, Basingstoke RG25 2BB afterwards.

Lion Dalton Hopkins
Lions Club of Basingstoke

Iím sorry to have to inform you that Basingstoke Lion Dalton Hopkins passed away in hospital.

Dalton's funeral will be on the 27th of July at 11:00am at Basingstoke Crematorium, Manor Farm, Stockbridge Road, North Waltham RG25 2BA

Please dress casually and colourful - with open necked shirts rather than ties.

Diane requests no flowers but any donations to the Parkinsons, Dementia and Alzheimers Society by cheque to the funeral directors.

Please join Diane in celebration of Dalton's life at the Basingstoke Golf Club, Kempshott Park, Basingstoke RG23 7LL.

Lion Eddie Roads
Lions Club of Maidenhead

Sadly, our much loved Lion Eddie Roads passed away yesterday, aged 80, after a long struggle with Parkinsonís. Our thought are with his widow Yvonne and their family.

Eddie joined Maidenhead Lions in January 2000 and has served as President as well as many other roles within the club including managing our Childrenís Fun Train for many years. Most recently, he became a Privileged Lion.

Eddie was always great fun to be with and he will be missed by us all.

Lion Peter Tolson
Lions Club of Loddon Valley

It is with deep sadness that Loddon Valley Lions Club report the sudden passing into higher service of Lion Peter Tolson.

Lion Peter was one of our newest members having been badged up only in August 2017 but was already a well-liked and much respected member of our club. He will be greatly missed and our thoughts are with Lion Vanessa, his widow, and the family.

The funeral service will be held at West Berkshire Crematorium, Bath Rd, Thatcham RG19 4LD on 5th July at 12:00 noon.

Lion Vanessa has asked for no cards nor flowers but a donation to Bloodwise, a charity they both supported, could be made in lieu if desired.

Christchurch Lions Club regret to announce the passing to higher service of Lion Colin Marshall, a Melvin Jones Fellow.

Our thoughts are with Colin's wife Pip and family at this sad time.

A Memorial Service for Colin is to be held at 11am on Friday, 11th May 2018 at the Priory Church, Quay Road, Christchurch BH23 1BU.

It is with much sadness I have to inform you that our friend, MJF and Past District Governor John passed yesterday following a short illness.

Glayne and his family were by his side.

There will be a Service of Thanksgiving for John at St James Church, Church Street, Trowbridge BA14 8RU on Thursday 29th March at 11am.

Lion Ken Riley MJF
Lions Club of Ringwood and Fordingbridge

It is with considerable sadness that the Ringwood & Fordingbridge Lions Club report the passing of Lion PCC Ken Riley on 24th January 2018, aged 97 years.

Ken was a Charter Member of the Bournemouth Club and served as President in 1963/4. He was elected as 105D District Governor 1970/71 and subsequently appointed Chairman of Council 1971/72. He resigned from Lions in 1975 due to health and business problems but rejoined the Wadebridge (105SW) Club in 2008 where he was awarded an MJF.

On relocating to Hampshire in 2015 he transferred to the Ringwood & Fordingbridge Club.

Ken was an outstanding Lion and a Gentleman in every sense of the word and his presence will be sorely missed.

Funeral arrangements
The Funeral will take place on 13th February 2018 at 1:30 pm at The Church of Holy Ascension, Church Lane, Hyde, Fordingbridge SP6 2QJ and be in the form of a service of thanksgiving in celebration of Kenís life.

The family have suggested it's not necessary to wear black and nothing too formal. Family flowers only with donations for Cancer Research if desired.

Refreshments will be served in the Church Hall following the Service.

Members of the Ringwood & Fordingbridge Lions Club extend their sincere condolences to the surviving family and friends.

Lion Bob Bone
Lions Club of Loddon Valley

It is with great sadness that I have to report the passing of Lion Bob Bone who has been a very active member of Loddon Valley Lions Club for the past 32 years having served twice as President as well as holding the position of Treasurer for a number of terms. He will be greatly missed within our club.

His funeral will take place at the West Berkshire Crematorium, Thatcham, RG19 4LD at 12:00 on 15th November 2017.

Family flowers only but donations in his memory may be made to the Basing Unit, Basingstoke & North Hants Hospital.
